How will the strike at Grangemouth Oil Refinery affect motorists ?

The effect so far of the Grangemouth Oil Refinery strike is to cause panic buying of petrol/diesel etc. This may already have spread south to areas of northern England and even further south.

Here's the story so far ; -

When there's a fuel supply problem, here's what I do. Nothing. I don't drive my car and I certainly would not ever wait in a long queue outside a garage. I keep one gallon of petrol in a metal tank in my garage at home. If needs must, I'll use that, but only in a dire emergency.

My nearest supermarket is about 1.5 miles - walking distance. No problemo. . . . .

Stay cool and sit it out.

[I do appreciate that there are many many folk who must have fuel, but for those of us who do not 'need fuel', sit it out - help others by keeping any queues short as possible].How will the strike at Grangemouth Oil Refinery affect motorists ?
they'll use anything to charge more for fuel, we have to pay higher prices everyday while the oil companies make more and more profits, they should have their profits capped and if they exceed it we get a discount.

They mainly deal with Diesal so it's likely to go up a little if the strike lasts a while. How will the strike at Grangemouth Oil Refinery affect motorists ?
Since a limited number of refineries produce all the fuel consumed... supply will drop and the price will rise.

Supply and demand.

Don't blame the refineries or the oil companies... blame your politicians who block their efforts to build more refineries and drill more wells.
Garages will use it as an excuse to increase prices again
Only if people start to panic buy again.
price of petrol will go up again,
