How long will major components of an oil refinery last before they need to be changed?

In most refineries, the life expectancy of most major equipment is at least 20 years if not longer. I have known of pressure vessel, heat exchangers, pumps and compressors that were over 30 years old and some over 40.

Some items may require major renovations from time to time and things in a very corrosive environment may not last as long as 20 years. A cooling tower might be an example of an item with a limited life.

Technology change can also make certain processes obsolete requiring a change of equipment. How long will major components of an oil refinery last before they need to be changed?
Varies with the component and service, but generally a company would expect their investment to last a minimum of ten years. How long will major components of an oil refinery last before they need to be changed?
way too many variables to predict accurately...
Year and years, you just have to be sure not to overheat, over pressure ect. Occasionally catalyst needs to be changed out and routine maintenance. We have equiptment still running from 1937.
